Amanda Parriag & Associates

Amanda Parriag has nearly ten years of experience as a Researcher and Consultant in a wide range of social policy and public policy issue areas. Amanda has concentrated on both quantitative and qualitative data analyses: she is very well versed in survey design, data manipulation and longitudinal studies on the quantitative side, and facilitation of focus groups, strategy and planning sessions, symposia and workshops on the qualitative side. She also has had extensive experience in conducting cost analyses and program evaluations in a variety of different social policy areas.

She has conducted numerous quantitative analyses for a variety of government departments and non-profit organizations both independently and with the Atlantic Evaluation Group, Continuum Research and Environics Research Group. In addition to this, Amanda has directed syndicated surveys and created over 40 custom surveys for a number of diverse clients. She is well-versed in designing research programs with an aim to providing clients with quantitative research that is robust, comprehensive and specifically designed for their individual goals.

Amanda has a wealth of experience in a number of public policy areas including the areas of health and justice, particularly focused on the realm of violence against women and children and the abuse of older adults. She also has extensive experience conducting research on issues relevant to disabled Canadians (such as perceptions of the CPP disability program), agriculture and bio-foods/biotechnology and the opinions and perceptions of Aboriginal and Northern Canadians. She has worked with such diverse clients as Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, the Bank of Canada, the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Ottawa Hospital, Health Canada, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, the Ottawa Women's Credit Union and the former Human Resources Development Canada, among others.

Amanda Parriag received her Doctor of Psychology degree from Carleton University in 2001 and has seen her work published in numerous forums.
